Petition to have Matt Harpring canned

I wish I liked Mike Smith. I don't. The biggest issue is his timing. He's a full second or more too early with his feedback on the game; so the viewer hasn't even absorbed and started to reflect on the play before he's rushed right in and given a statement. And his vocal pitch is annoyingly consistent throughout all this. FML. Jazz broadcasts are always going to bother me. I guess all TV does, though.

He also just says stuff... like it just gets thrown in and is forced... my sister in law does the same thing... drives me crazy.

Just add sound bites of Hot rod and the nba jam guy... have a board operator pushing buttons “boomshakalaka!” “You gotta love it baby” “gentle push and a mild arc and the old cowhide globe hits home... He’s on fire!”

We could have those catch phrases for Boler too.
He slams down another 3.
Buckle up!
He hits another 3... oh, is that a 2... oh, it was a layup?
The 30, the 20, the 10, touchdown! Jazz up by 7.

No need to have him there calling games. He could just pre record what happens, and the color analyst can do the same with some random crap that applies to nothing.

I haven't decided... I'm leaning towards not a big fan. I don't want a total homer, but I want one of "our guys". He seems to know his ****... although he said something weird after Korver hit the three and got fouled... said it was more difficult cuz he's right handed floating right... and that most right handers prefer to float left... it is really not true at all and was weird.
Its true.

Going left as a right hander (to shoot) is much easier.

K... well in my experience fading or floating toward my dominant hand is much more natural and gives added space... which is the purpose for floating/fading in the first place.

At very worst they are equal... much easier... nonsense.

Smith also wanted to yamer on about hs players that played a 100 years ago that I care nothing about... mentioning them is fine, but he went on for a while.
