Play like you have nothing to lose...

I'm hearing that Howard will start again on Wednesday. RT@sluhm: Coach Corbin says he will likely start Josh Howard again at small forward, but the coaches will talk about it today and tonight.

wtf really?
we need to play a perfect game against the spurs to win. and yes howard starting does matter. all little things matter
screw corbin if he starts howard.

Wait, wait, wait.... now hear me out... play like you have EVERYTHING TO LOSE!!!

Play like your family is being held hostage! Play like you will be executed if you lose!

Think about it.

Ty is clearing learning on the job - as all coaches do. Would not have been my first choice but I am more than comfortable with how he managed the job over the season. In fact, I think he has done a great job. On one thread we accuse him of not making adjustments and on another thread we throw him under the bus for starting Howard - which is an adjustment. No matter who the coaches are, there is a give and take in the playoffs. Be interesting to see what they do the next few games.

I was thinking about this the other day. I am inclined to agree with you. I mean no excellent coach started out as good as they are now. They all learned onthe job like every person does at every job. Did Ty make mistakes? Clearly. But all in all I think he did fairly well and the Jazz made the playoffs when they were supposed to be one of the bottom feeders of the NBA at best.

I like Corbins passion and personality and think he will be a good coach in the future.

As for this year i feel he has usually been late to make adjustments that most jazzfanz (and even some guys wife if i remember right) would have already made.

Seems as if he has exceeded most peoples expectations record wise (including mine) so cant hate on him too much.

Slightly, OT, but is there a reason we don't try to get Gordon Hayward more open looks from 3? It seems every single time we throw the ball in to Big Al Devin Harris is standing at the 3 point line waiting on Al to throw it back out to him if the double team comes. Why don't we switch and let that be Hayward some? If I'm the opposing team I'd be much more reluctant to drop down and double team Al if I knew it was Hayward standing there instead of Harris. That is just one way to get him an open look or two. Maybe it's just me. I don't know.....
