Playoffs are what matters.

I'm glad there are a few more seeding games to watch. That's fun.

But we're talking about playoffs.

Thoughts?

We are probably not going to pass the first round whatever the matchup so hard to be really excited for the Jazz. But I am going to enjoy these post-Warriors playoffs with many good teams competing for the title and root against the Lakers and Rockets.

We lose tiebreakers against both OKC and HOU if we end up with identical records. That would push us to #6.

Regardless of who we play in round one, we will be underdogs.

I just don't want to play harden again

My expectations have been tempered to the point where a first round win would be considered a very nice surprise. But I do hope we are competitive regardless. And of course for the NBA at large the playoffs are a blast.

>>6th seed is the most probable outcome for the Jazz. That’ll probably put them up against Denver. Jazz may push it to a 6th game; Denver should be considered clear favorites.

>>I’m very interested in the tier of dark-horse contenders this year. The teams I’m watching the closest are OKC, Toronto, and Miami. Call me crazy, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if any of these teams won the tournament. I have Houston in this tier, too, but I hate them and don’t think they have as good a shot as the other three teams I mentioned.

>>The refereeing has been pretty bad bubble-wide. Unless this reverts back to normal, this is going to have a different kind of impact on the playoffs. I’m not sure what’s going on right now, but I’ve seen good chunks of about 9 games since the restart and at least 4 of them were very poorly officiated (two of them were Milwaukee games, fwiw).

I would want to avoid Houston at all costs - simply put, we are a horrible matchup with them. Add in the superstar treatment for Westbrook and Harden and you have a recipe for frustration.

I wish I would have put money on OKC before these games began.

I just don't want to play them because they have 2 of my least favorite players on their team.
