Ok, I'll make the case. I didn't really want to, but, challenge accepted.
I think we could use Gobert in the starting lineup in place of Favors. And Booker in place of Kanter. Go with a Booker/Kanter combination that should work out pretty well with Booker's outside game and Gobert in there to provide defense and rebounding. By starting these two for 4 or 5 minutes you take a lot of pressure off Favors and Kanter to avoid foul trouble. Either will be much less likely to pick up that dreaded 2nd foul if they are only playing 7-8 minutes in the first quarter.
This also allows Favors/Kanter to see a little more time vs. opposing teams 2nd unit giving them some early confidence in games.
Heck, I might even take it one further and start Exum. As he seems to have a little more chemistry with Gobert getting the lob up for him to flush.
So, there you go...
Exum/Burks/Hayward/Booker/Gobert to start games. It would be a short stint out there to be sure, but, it would probably be somewhat effective and do a lot to help Favors and Kanter stay on the floor for the remainder of the night.
