PoS fan who harassed Westbrook

So basically the consensus is that this dude is full of **** in saying “ice your knees”.

Certainly doesn’t give with his previous twitter comments. If those are him and it certainly looks that way.
Yes, that is the consensus.. I don’t think anyone bit on the little piece of ********.

Nah, there's no excuse for saying anything hateful. I don't care who you are you shut somebody down who is getting out of line.
Part of me wonders if this happens if our crowd was more diverse. I would hope all people would not be tolerant of this ugly behavior, but if we had a few black fans next to this guy would he be saying this stuff? I just don't know how a fan next to this guy didn't tell him to cool it. I've asked fans (at football primarily) to chill with some of the poor language and for the most part the oblige (usually because of kids).

The millers and organization were pure class and the timing of the news indicates they worked with league here. Good job by everyone managing a ****** situation. If FA choose terrible organizations like the Knicks over us because of a few idiot fans then I think they are missing the bigger opportunity.

I guess you do not know about the bet which resulted in his username?
I don’t... haven’t really been here the past couple years.

I presume a deal with devil and having to take his name if he were to lose the bet?

You have the most incredible username ever... I hate duke.

you mean the college Duke ? as in the lacrosse team and the Duke porn star ?
Not the source of my handle sorry

I refuse to believe that.

This is one of the most listened to radio stations in the state. They’re spending a significant amount of time today blaming Westbrook, spreading doubt about what this fan did, and attacking “the media” for painting all jazz fans as racists. They’re making it sound like the Jazz organization is reacting because it’s the “politically correct” thing to do.

I think this is worth discussing in a thread about racism at our games. It’s not like this is an isolated incident. We’ve now had several inappropriate player/fan interactions and this is the second incident recently where accusations of fans’ racism have been made.

I've been your arena. Sat in the inexpensive seats, similar to the upper deck in The Peake in OKC, we refer to as the peasant section :). Among the most vocal, loud & enthusiastic fans you will find anywhere.

The upper deck fans are highly vocal--sometimes you have check your ticket to see if you're at an NBA basketball game vs. PBR circuit tour--real time country bare back ride with fans who scream to the delight of a cowboy enjoying his ride--gotta love it.

Keep the faith & enthusiasm; a few inappropriate actions by fans & players shouldn't spoil the family fun atmosphere for all.

Fans should police this stuff a bit better... see something say something mmmmkay.
We have to now. Because of the SK fans jazz can't just sit in uncomfortable silence anymore. That's gonna be contrary to Utah cultural norms to say something but its time.

While we are at it. Its time to stop booing Trey Burke and Enes and even whats his name when he comes back. Maybe we could stop booing Westbrook or Green too. We no longer have the benefit of the doubt. You want to help the Jazz? Yell at the guy yelling crap to players or at least have the courage to tell the usher.

SK didn't represent the other 19k jazz fans at the arena and he doesn't represent me but fair or not right now he is the ugly face of jazz fans. We gotta have courage to make a new image.

It's a shame that there seems to be a very vocal minority of fans who think it's ok to go to games and say stuff like this guy did as it ruins the reputation of the majority of Jazz fans who go to games. Hopefully the Jazz organisation come down hard on guys like this, I think Elan makes a very valid point about how dumbass fans making comments like this guy hurts the Jazz even more as a FA destination. Already a small market team with not much of the traditional NBA lifestyles on offer, don't need dumbasses like this handicapping the team's chances to land FAs even more.

I've been saying all that stuff about free agents. It hurts Utah.

Hi Vermin. Long time no see.

lol no i forgot what the bet was about but i opened my big mouth and lost a bet which meant having to change my profile name. i think it started from something like "call yourself Douchebag ok ?" and got shortened to Douchebag K .. sad

but no reference to Duke I live half a world away so don't care for colllege hoops. Although i do remember watching Christian Laetner's game winner all those years ago.

Most of the posters here i figure have never been to utah and don't realize how the state really is

I think:

A. A lot of Utahns live with blinders on. For example, I recently attended a school board meeting in a major school district in the salt lake valley. The start of the meeting began with one of the principals of the high schools giving a vocal Mormon prayer. This is... odd. To say the least. And doesn’t create an environment of inclusivity. But few present showed any discomfort. If was as if this was “business as usual.”

B. Had anyone brought this issue up, many present would’ve become defensive. This typically happens in this state when anyone dares bring up issues of religion or race. As we’re seeing on this board and listening to on the radio, some take these criticisms of our state way too personally. I remember posting about racism at the arena a few weeks ago and was blasted on this board. Oops.

Guess it’s time we’re gonna finally address it, right? Now that the franchise just saw one of its ugliest incidents in history last night? Not good. Let’s try and be a little bit more progressive, shall we? Are the majority of fans racist? Probably not explicitly. Are there some who are? Yes. Does it need to be addressed? Yes. Clearly. We’re earning a bad reputation around the league and destroying the fun atmosphere of the arena.

It's pretty fascinating, really. Especially the part about how many mormons support Trump. People like this Keisel dude. Church on Sunday, racist on Monday.

Reggie Miller has called them out
Derek Fisher, Dwill. Jazz fans are extremely thin skin and they feel like they own the players. Lolol how Hayward was treated when he left.
Jazz fans need to learn to move on. I remember Miller cut Dee Brown because he said he was a bad example for Deron. S mh

Wtf? That's not anywhere close to what he was saying.
Can you honestly say that you think that there were racist c
Again. Thats not how racism works.

These comments are really disappointing,

What a moron, a dead set ****ing idiot, what an ignorant ****ing *******! You and the majority of this fan base have no ****ing idea. Yall are all literally too white, zero idea reagarding cutural sensitivity
So if a person construes any comment as racial, even though its not intended, the person saying the comment is at fault, and not the person taking offense?
