I think the best option for the Nets, as ugly as it sounds, is to become a low to mid level farm team who doesnt try to compete but just tries to stay afloat while maximizing player value and selling guys high, untill they regain control of their own draft. I think all other plans like "build around Bridges" or "try to hold on to guys to be a pseudo-competitive team" are just doomed with the assets they dont have and 5 years from now they are still gonna be mid and poor.
Its also the best strategy for the only good path out of their current state. That is simply to get lucky and have someone pop. Churning through guys should increase the odds of finding a diamond in the rough.
And I know 4 years of purgatory followed by a tank sounds like a bad plan, but it may be the "best plan available".
