258M would be waaaaaaaaay fine by me. I'd quit immediately, not giving two months notice, my license be damned. I'd give 1-2M each to my mom, dad, and wife's mom. After that, I'd maybe give 1M each to about 10 total friends (5 of each of ours). That would leave us with 242M. We'd diversify the hell out of it so as to avoid any one monumental loss and try to live off less than the interest alone, keeping that figure always at or above 240M or so. I wouldn't want to stop working as I think that would be an awful example for my children (MsSerp is prego with #2 if I never mentioned it) and would try to get into Peeks-type ****. Real estate and property development REALLY intrigues me and I'd literally "work" for free for as long as I needed to until I felt I could dig in deep myself. Or something along those lines.
