When I went searching highlights, the first suggestions were things like “Grayson Allen dirty plays.” So that’s good. How’s his D?
 
Real talk on Allen: no tripping issues in the past, not white, even being old/senior, the dude is mocking in the early teens.

No idea.

I wouldn't want to draft him in the first round personally. If the Jazz somehow got a pick in the 30's, then I'd be on board, but I dont see that happening, but who knows?

That would still be the biggest knock but no one wants to give him the athleticism props he deserves and the kid is a team player.

Not discounting the mental issues but I’d want him on my team if the situation was right.

I'd be fine with Allen, but I'm with Cy - I don't think I'd want to take him at #21. He seems like a value in the later 20's and early 30's.
 
I can see how someone would compare Grayson and Donte but the mental side of things is a huge difference Donte seems super composed and Allen seems like he melts down when faced with adversity... has he even had his bhole licked... doubt it.

But can Donte do this?
 
It isn't the tripping that bothers me with Grayson (it's a punk move) it's the tantrums on the sidelines. I think it shows a high care factor, but it's a sign of mental weakness. To be fair he is the most hated guy on the most hated team in the country... that is a lot to carry. I remember JJ talking about all the awful stuff people would say about him... really stuff crossing all kinds of lines and for a college kid.

Maybe he is fine with less individual attention. I could get on board in the 30s... will pass at 21. I'd love to come out of this draft with one combo guard and one combo forward somehow. Donte won't be available in the 30s, but Allen and Robinson might. I think we can get a second pick and should try... we won't find out until draft night.

Agree with the first part disagree with the second part. We have telegraphed some picks.
