Preseason Game: The Jazz @ Lakers ...Countdown to the Regularity...

Gobert is not NBA-ready, can't get PT
Favors can be DPOY one day
Some chemistry between Hayward-Kanter and Favors-Burks
Kanter looks timid and dumb on defense, can't rebound, but can score confidently
Burks should be the starting PG
Hayward needs to step up, lead this group

Regarding Ian Clark's guaranteed money: according to Sham Sports he has $200K guaranteed this season, which means the Jazz are paying him for the first ~33 games. Expect him to stick that long unless someone really outplays him at a position where the need is greater.

Team option the second year. So I don't know how that plays into it.

I would rather have'em both on the floor. I really like Lucas III and it would help the defensive match-ups. On the fast breaks, the defender would be confused which one is who from behind look.

I fell into same delusion couple of times when watchin pre-season games cause their beards looks alike and they both got a head like a ****ing orange.

Looks like Utah can rebound well and there are a couple of guys (Hayward, Burks, Burke and Lucas) that can get assists. Good to see Favors get 3 assists. Nice to see him start to develop that part of his game. Glad to see Gobert get some time over Biedrins. 16 offensive rebounds is good.

Jazz missed way to many FTs (shot 61% from the line) and are still shootign a low percentage over all (40%). Ty needs to start palying the starting 5 more. Only 2 games left in the preseason, he better not keep Kanter around 20 mpg... Cook really shot 14 times? 9 of which are threes? Hayward only had one more shot than him in 11 more minutes. Seems awefully chucky.
