The change is they are doing what smart fans know they should. Strip the team to its core and build around them. Casual fans will be like OMG jazz sux so bad!! Whyd we Let milsap go?!

Haha yeah exactly! I always laugh when I read comments on different websites saying we should bring big al back and such.

I agree with this. Casual fans are retarded.

I hope it is just Mo, Al & Milsap going. I've been assuming that was part of the Jazz future for so long sometimes I forget it hasn't happened yet.

I think I would be disappointed if the Jazz brought any of them back. I will probably be disappointed too if the Jazz end up picking 14, 21 and 46 and nothing else happens.

Nothing can happen until free agency begins. Even then, the Jazz will probably wait to renounce the rights to Al or Paul hoping to get something back in a sign and trade.

Jazz are going to drop a bomb on draft day. The clues are building that the Jazz are going to do something unpredictable and probably unpopular with the fans.

Lets rehash:

  • In February Jazz are on the cusp of the playoffs and make no moves. Only rumors involve expiring Milsap, Big Al and Alec Burks.
  • In April Lindsey says he doesn't like the term 'Core 4' hints that not all 4 are in the definite long term plans.
  • Locker clean out day Watson says he knows there are players who on the Jazz roster who will leave to go on to do amazing things. (Only players he could be refering to are Core 4, Milsap & Jeremy Evans.)
  • In May rumors of KOC being replaced by DOL are unconfirmed by the Jazz. Still KOC sold his house in SLC and has missed about half his weekly radio interviews since.
  • In June prodigal son Karl Malone is surprisingly and awkwardly brought 'bask into the fold' with no clear work arrangement in an impromtu feel good radio interview that not only brought out Karl but it also brought out Greg & Steve Miller and a bunch of apologies.
  • In mid June stories start to Circulate that the Jazz brain trust has made some decsions. It is reported that Lindsey said, "if this doesn't work then I should take the fall." To which Gail replies, "No, we make this decision together, we will all take the fall."
  • Also mid June Ty Corbin was reported to have said, "I know the Jazz plan is not the best for me, but it is best for the organization"
  • Last week Jerry Sloan was officially brought back into the Jazz organization in an arrangement that was only slightly more defined as Karls.
  • After a years long trend of silence and limited media availability today, the CEO of the Jazz had a 2.5 hour sit down meeting with the media. He answered all kinds of Jazz questions including finally telling his side of the Jerry Sloan-Deron Williams drama.

Jazz are trying to build up some good will, and quick. The Miller interview, Sloan's hiring, and Malone announcement could have all been done after the draft in the dog days of summer when there is little Jazz news to report. Instead they are all done in a short time more or less corresponding with the super strategy meeting.

Big changes are coming, coming soon, and the Jazz are expecting that many of us won't like them.

of course they are trying to do something, after 2 years of anti-sport behavior

they've got hayward and favors to keep next summer in order to not become the next bobcats for a decade
