I just wanted to give a shout out, and a thank you to most of the Jazz Fans out there. There could have been many this year who stopped coming to games, with the loses our arena could have looked like Indiana's where they might fill 30-40% of the seats nightly. There was some griping sure, but I think once Jerry was gone, and once people started to realize the D-Will trade was indeed a good thing, people were supportive.

So I wanted to start this topic to say "Thank You!" to all the fans, for sticking by our team. I frankly was stunned to see the arena very full for the last game of the season, stunned, but happy. Seeing the fans stay, seeing the standing ovation for the team as the clock on the season ran dry, seeing fans stay until the players started making their way off the floor. I am very proud of our fan base, which is the best fanbase in all of the NBA, if not in all of professional sports. We all hung in there together, if anything, stronger for what we as a collective of team and fans went thru.

Anyways, I just wanted to say "Thank You!" to all you fans, for being the best in the NBA. Here is to hoping the Jazz go in the right direction this summer, and that there is no lockout next year. No matter what, I will be here, cheering on our Jazz, win or lose. I hope you will to! Lets remain known as the best and most passionate fans in the NBA, for that is probably the best thing about this team, not the location generally. A Free Agent will want to come here to play because of our fans, I truly believe we can be that reason!

Have a good summer all! Here is to hoping for some luck in the lottery, and one heck of a draft night!

Kidding aside, good post. But Jazz fans usually stick it out....not to rain on the parade, but then again, what else and what other team is there to follow around here?
 
I watched somewhere between 65 to 70 games (I"m guessing) or at least bits and pieces of some, but this was the first year I actually didn't go to a game at the ESA. I kind of wish I did though.
 
Yep, - for better or worse we're married to this team so we'll stick it out thru the rough times. I loved the gutsy forward thinking of trading Deron while his value was high. No one saw it coming. Surprising coming from such a, up to that point, conservative front office (they didn't have the forethought to do this with Boozer sooner - glad Chicago bailed 'em out with a trade exception that netted them Al Jefferson at least).
The Deron trade initially felt like a punch-to-the-groin, but as the pain subsided I realized the wisdom of the move. It was gutsy, proactive, smart. That punch to the groin eventually swelled with pride. Poor Cleveland, Phoenix, and flaccid Toronto.
 
We aren't in the playoffs yet. And why all the credit to KOC? He isn't out on the court. Lets thank goodness that KOC hasn't scared everyone away from this team. He still has time we are a Big Al, and Milsap away from being the Sun, Cavs, and Toronto!

Your posts have the effect of making me grateful for KOC. Is that what you intend? He isn't out on court, and that's a good thing. He has the sense to stay in the stands where the front office personnel belong, unlike some people we know.

As part of the LDS temple endowment ceremony, LDS members make certain covenants with God. These covenants are partially represented by symbols on the "temple garment", which is worn as underwear, somewhat similar to how orthodox Jews wear the "Tallit katan" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tallit_katan, or similar to how a Catholic priest wears a collar to remind him of his priestly vows. The temple ceremony and associated garment are considered to be sacred by LDS, and the term "magic underwear" is frequently employed by those wanting to make fun of the LDS practice.

Edit: I should add that the temple garments do basically look like regular underwear--for men, they are t-shirts and close to knee-length briefs (not so brief, I guess). The white underwear you can see sticking out from Larry's Jazz shorts is why BOX made the comment.
 
Very, very interesting. Bizarre, but interesting nevertheless. I wiki'd temple garment and read up on it...thanks Colton.
