I like to laugh at his sometimes clueless comments but I enjoy his voice and enthusiasm. Overall I like him better than a lot (though probably not all) of the other announcers around the league.

I also happen to like Harpring and enjoy the banter between Boler and Harpring. I do/did like when Boone would occasionally sub but I guess that's not in the cards this year. For a while I didn't really like Boone because of how he can get lost mid-sentence but I really came to appreciate his knowledge and viewpoint.

I knew I'd see most posters explain answers as relative to the rest of the league's announcers. But that's already a certain kind of admission that he's not good. Relative to realistic expectations: he's a 2. KK isn't much better, but something tells me they were aiming at Vanilla and ask her to amplify Vanilla.

9/10. I like that he has a genuine love for the Jazz and his job. He seems vested in the Jazz. He has a great voice. He banters well with Harpring. He's funny(sometimes unintentionally). He has a good(not great) knowledge of the game, its players and its history. I actually like his expressions... Houdini, etc. And I love when he lets us know it's time to buckle up.

His job is to make the game enjoyable and I think he does a great job of that.

You should check other teams' announcers to make a comparison. I had a chance to do this before becoming a Jazz fan watching basically each team's local feeds on League Pass. Believe me, Boler is easily top-5. He truly loves the game and the Utah Jazz. His voice is great. He adds excitement and passion to the game. Yes, he kind of repeats himself and makes mistakes now and then but again he's much better than his peers and we should be happy to have him.

How would you rate him relative to the rest of the league?

I listen to a lot of the away feeds on league pass .. there are so many awful announcers. Knowledge of the game he’s prob bottom third. Likability he’s prob top third
I'm not exactly looking for great basketball insight from announcers anyway, so I give Bolerjack a lot of leeway. He has a good voice and he shows a lot of excitement when a big play happens. So I put him in the top third overall.

He's been doing this about 8 years now and doesn't seem to have any more insight into the game of basketball than since he started.

He's ok - he's a 5 in a sea of 5's.

Good: Doesn't make it about him, professional, good voice, seems to enjoy the games (at least the last few years), not a ridiculous homer.
Bad: Not passionate. I think if he weren't paid he would only be a casual NBA fan. When you hear him talk about football he gets really excited, but when he talks Jazz he says it is really exciting. As a result, he doesn't seem to have a ton of knowledge (rules, strategy, opposing teams & players).

Overall: I gave him an 8 because he is above average and I wouldn't want to see him replaced because I trust him to not mess things up. I guess he is kind of like a game managing QB in football.

To me KK has been a disappointing addition. I had hoped that she would either improve the quality of reporting from the sideline reporter (both during game and pre-recorded), or bring better personality/reporting skill. Unfortunately, the content of her report is not informative or entertaining and she she seems to stumble over the story lots of the time. To me she is a replacement to Steve Brown, but not an upgrade.

I found him strangely likable/entertaining in that awkward uncle sort of way. Kind of like how I enjoyed Always Sunny in Philadelphia or Skip in Napoleon Dynamite.
Wait, I just realized his interviews were more like watching the first home teaching visit to a new family when the companions are pretending to be close to the family, even though this is the first time they have met and it is not going well!

She hasn't been anything special but Brownie was actively terrible.

He was so so bad... every time he talked it was like it was his first interview. He'd just talk and talk then put the mic in front of the player... and I'd be like did he ask a question?

I have no idea how he got that job and held it for so long.
