Redemption Game: Utah Jazz @ Dallas Mavericks

I somehow got the impression that Exum's legs had a little lead in them. For example, when he stole the ball and went full court for the layup he just didn't have that spark

wasnt lead in his legs ,it was a sweet move not to let anyone fly behind him to block his shot ala Hayward ,Lebron..by using his length and reach to lay it over the front of the rim and use his body to shield the chase down

Actually, I just watched it again and ran it in slow motion...what happened is Exum got the errant pass by Beverly and both he and Beverly started down the court at almost the same time, with Exum getting a slight jump on Beverly. Beverly ran him down so much so that he went right by him as Exum went up for the layup. Beverly had about 1.5 strides to Exum's one on the way down the court, so Exum's strides are huge but they also looked slow. Exum was running as fast as he could. He wasn't gauging Beverly to use his body as a shield, he just wasn't very fast.

Beverly is a fast dude. Clearly faster/more explosive than Exum.

I hope Hayward outperforms the other white-guy-he's-always-going-to-be-compared-to-max-contract Parsons
