Rep inflation is crazy here.
Months ago my 7 would have made me a King..... or YB.
Now, with my 7 I can't even buy myself a loaf of bread and jug of milk.
Will it ever end? in a year will there be people with 150 rep power?
Will the rep inflation stay at Venezualan levels, or do we need the board government to step in and stop the printing of rep money?

Now I'm getting verklempt! Talk amongst yourselves.
 
I agree with Spazz. I brought this up to Colton a few weeks ago and in response, they raised everyone's rep. It took months to get to rep 2, but literally days to go from 10 to 12.

An overhaul needs to be done, asap.
 
I agree. I have noticed some people climb 3 points in 3 days. Others never move even though I rep them regularly and haven't seen many neg-rep worthy posts from them. Are the mods playing games?
 
I gained like 50 rep points (not power, but points) in one day last week because I was feeling like a motivated poster at the moment. I only wish life was so easy.
 
What are the tiers of rep power anyway? At what point does the rep number change? Every 50 or some other measure?

wasn't sure which of these you had in mind...

I'm leaning towards the third choice - maybe we do need a constitutional convention to decide these issues, what do you think?
 
Only one person is in charge of this and it's colton so direct your complaints to him directly.

FWIW: I agree that the inflation was kind of crazy.

I'll tweak it again when I get a chance. Basically, I was trying for a bimodal distribution, but didn't quite get it right. ;-)

(does that EVER get old?)

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to just say stupid thread topic should get stupid comments. . . more like jest thread should get wacky comments. . . . but actually, since rep power has no bearing on your ability to play in here, I think stupid is defined by taking it seriously.

I neg repped vinyl once for not getting a point someone else made, and trout once a long time ago. I have since given more significant pos reps to these. I'll try to sign my reps religiously, but generally I'll pos rep or won't rep at all. Don't remember repping Marcus neg. Hey, I'll look around for a post he's done and see if I can pos rep it. Won't that prove I didn't do a neg rep on him recently?

logically, if want to own the cellar, wouldn't I pos rep everybody, especially bottom dwellers?
