It's not disrespect. It's just the truth. We didn't trade for an All Star. He only became an All Star because he played on our special team this year and , yes, he was a special part.Conley may not have officially been an all star prior to his arrival but it’s not like he underachieved his entire career and suddenly refined his game and evolved into something he wasn’t before becoming a Jazz man.
He was seen as an all star by peers and coaches alike and would have been a 5 time all star playing in the east.
And the argument about playing in the East could also be made for him even making the team this year. If one player who was hurt wasn't hurt, he doesn't make it. I mean for crying out loud, look who had to miss the All Star Game so Mike became an All Star:

I'm proud of Conley getting the All Star nod, but he wasn't one before we traded for him and he only got one because our team was where it was AND so many people got injured.
