To me this is just bad professionalism in my opinion. Be a responsible exec and simply tell them best of luck. We appreciate all you did but wish to go in another direction. We wish you the best of success with your next team.

All this game playing and crap gets on my nerves.

Watson's exit interview and in season comments about Alec Burks (and the way Corbin was using him) take on more meaning in light of this. It was already clear that Watson was not coming back. I didn't think too much of it at the time when he suggested that coach or management were missusing some players on the roster. Now I wonder what else transpired.

If Burks sided with Watson in the little dispute with Corbin, then Burks will be traded. Sad.

wow jazz have to choose between burks and corbin.
either choice is bad.
because corbin is the coach and the coach should have final say so if he gets fired for "fighting with a player" it send a message that the players are the BOSS.

but corbin sucks and should be fired. i would love millsap to stay.
he was frustrated with alfense on the offensive and defensive end. so rightfully so he should be mad at corbin.

but firing the coach even if he should be fired for "fighting" with players sends a bad message.

so i was right not to be exited/optimistic about the upcomming season

As far as Watson is concerned, nice knowing you Earl. I lost respect for him when he whined about not playing after he came back from his injury. Guy is only good for an alley-oop every once in a while. I would be shocked if Millsap was ready to fight because he rarely says anything except for his obvious unhappiness with being benched some times.

On the other hand, if these rumors are true than Ty might have the communication problems that others have suggested or NBA players are just divas and talk about winning/teammates unless it affects their playing time $$$$$.

I hope all three walk unless the Jazz can make a deal that improves their team or gets them draft picks.

millsap has no problem with being benched.
he has a problem with alfense on both ends of the court.
dont create/enforce stupid rumors
 
I have little doubt that in about 6-8 months we will look upon the Ty Corbin era as a complete waste of time.

From trying to build around the Alfense at the expense of the young guys to giving Ty Corbin chance after chance after chance despite the eye test (doesn't have command of the huddle, merely claps his hands, no noticeable strategy or system, confusing rotations), despite the evidence (no progress of development, fights, lack of toughness or motivation), and despite the failings (has only made the playoffs once in 3 years).

We will look back and say, "what the hell was the jazz FO thinking?"

It's like a bad relationship. We know that this girl isn't right. Things aren't goin to work out. Instead of cutting ties and moving on, we keep painfully going back to this girl. And it gets worse and worse.

Everyone knows where this is headed but the Jazz FO (or so it appears). The sad thing is, ultimately the fans will pay the price. We want a championship. Yet, the longer Ty is here the longer we must wait before the process of championship contention will begin.

The start of this rebuilding process must begin with a new coach. Someone who can lead this team. Ty Corbin is clearly not that man.
 
And when there are no sign-and-trades, are we finally allowed to call this a lesson in what NOT to do in asset management?

How many more "fights" does Ty Corbin need to get into before management finally realizes that this guy doesn't know how to coach?

No one respects him.
No one likes him.

It's pretty obvious that despite being a "players coach" he doesn't have good relations with his own players.

I get that a lot of "players coaches" are easy going guys. But I think in Ty Corbin's case, he has gone too far. The players want a strong leader, not a ***** boy cheerleader. I think some of the vets have recognized this... In fact, most of them do. I remember how often the vets just ignored Ty during timeouts.

My fear is that this has been figured out by the young players. Hopefully the young players don't realize that giving less than their best is acceptable for this coach who's just "happy to be in the league."

We desperately need a coach who will crack the whip. We need some discipline, leadership, and "tough love" to get these guys back into shape.

Ask yourselves, if John and Karl were on this team, think they'd respect Ty Corbin? Or would they walk all over him? What about Deron?

That's so true.

Why the hell didnt we unload big al when we had the chance? I find it hard to believe that we couldn't have received something out of him.

Exactly.

Players need direction. They need someone who they can respect. I really don't understand the thinking in keeping a pansie in as coach.
