If you would keep posts more "family friendly", I wouldn't neg rep you for them. It's not like I have anything out for you personally. I don't keep track of to whom/how often I give neg reps.
To respond to your question, though--the current board settings are such that Jason and myself don't get rep power like regular users. Our rep powers do not increase automatically. So from time to time I manually increase our rep power. If I wanted to, I could give us 50 rep power. Or 100. Or whatever. But I don't do that. I usually keep our rep powers within a few points of the board leaders. Last time I calculated what my "true rep power" would be if I were assigned rep power like a regular user, it was just a couple of points below where I had set it. So I'm guessing my true rep power right now would about 15. If giving myself an extra 2 rep power points seems like that big of a deal to you, then so be it.
Just to follow up, let me also say that I have never given a retaliatory neg rep. I have only given neg reps for posts which in my opinion bring the board down instead of lift it up.
That being said, I recently got this neg rep, in response to my comment to Marty McFly in The Hobbit thread (I said "I find myself wondering how you would react if they made a Back to the Future part 4").
