Reputations: this could be fun

Among the various board settings I've been looking at, I stumbled across this page which describes the "reputations" feature. It looks a lot like the "+10 internets to you" system (or lack thereof) that we were joking about at the old jazzfanz. Rather than try to explain to people how reputations can be modified, I thought I'd just post the image of the software instructions so that you all know as much as I do (about this, at least. ;-)).

Yeah, so I knew this was a "soft" requirement from the peeps here just never found a good one with the old software. Lets try this.
 
Also, the reputation is viewed via the dot under the user title. In my case, it's a green square, which when you mouse over it says "User is on a distinguished road". I don't know if there's a way to see the specific reputation point total, but here are the phrases that will come up:

If anyone thinks any of these settings or reputation titles should be changed to make this even more fun, let me know!

Apparently Jason is hiding his reputation level. :-)

(It's a setting you can enable from your "General Settings" screen.)
 
Looks like first one to 50 posts gets to start adding/subtracting reputation points to others!
 
Not sure about reputation , but for post count titles how about these:

1-50: Newbie - generic but serves the purpose
51-200: Hack - in recognition of the great poster Vinylone
201-500: Chucker - in recognition of fire and forget basketball players (cough...CJ Miles)
501-1000: Hopper - in recognition of CarolinaJazz and one on one basketball players
1001-2000: Jazzfanz Veteran - ok you've finally cleared the ridiculing titles
2001-5000: Diehard Jazzfan - ok you really like this team, maybe more than you should
5001-10,000: Mini KOC - the second most prestigious, few will make it
10,001+: Little Jerry - gotta keep that one, who will be the first to make it there?
 
there should be more negative titles, such as: hack, or borderline troll. I'm not very imaginative, but I think you should go for something contemporary, witty and edgy if possible
 
Having to spread to 20 different people before you can repeat seems quite high. This rep system is used at another board I post at and people are unable to spread reputation there and the cap is I think 5. 10 seems more reasonable.

I was thinking the same thing.
 
So I looked at my own reputation points. A couple of greens, one red (thanks TICC, you dick), but a couple of blue (neutral). How do you get/give a blue (neutral)s?
 
Go to your "settings". It shows the last bit of activity. Too bad it's all anonymous. I'm going to start tagging my reps.
