Are you sure they're not the same thing?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_players_in_the_Naismith_Memorial_Basketball_Hall_of_FameThe Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, located in Springfield, Massachusetts, honors players who have shown exceptional skill at basketball, all-time great coaches, referees, and other major contributors to the sport.
I am very very opposed to Dick Bavetta even being a nominee. If he were to win and have to go up on stage to speak. How would we know that it was Dick Bavetta speaking and not small elderly man in a chicken skin costume? Watching Dick Bavetta run down the court was like watching the crypt keeper in human flesh (or what was left of it). When Dick Bavetta officiated a game, and they showed the highlights at the end, the sun spots on his skin would grab more of the audiences attention than the alley-oop that they were showing. Dick Bavetta was too old to the job of an efficient NBA official 35 years before he retired. Dick Bavetta is to Metamucil, what Michael Jordan is to Hanes.
This is Bavetta https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGSiEEpF3WM
HoF? hahaha
PS. If Bavetta can get in the Hall then Pete Rose should also!!!
I have watched that game 5 or so times when it appears on espn classic. Everytime I watch it I think we are going to win.
This was an absolute screw job by bavetta. That five point swing was terrible... Way more egregious than the push off. I still hate Bavetta.
It's not hyperbole to suggest that Bavetta belongs in hell.
