Reverse Pet Peeves

We have sliding bolt locks up high on the doors. It didn't take ISIS long to figure out how to slide a chair over to unlock it, but they worked well with my other 2. They're a few bucks and installation is easy. There are plate ones that are harder for kids to figure out for the same price and install time.

This little **** though, we put in vinyl hoping the backyard would be good and safe but he climbed over it in 15 minutes and figured the gate locks out.
My front and back door are way hard to open when unlocked even so im lucky that i have no worries about this. We keep the dead bolt locked but even if she unlocks that there is no way she is strong enough to pull the door open. One bright spot about having a ****** uneven foundation.

Sounds like a good idea. Like getting a door with a deadbolt and other lock like when we originally purchased it. But why have two locks when you can have one. At least, that’s my brilliant wife’s thinking on the matter.

I did stuff like that to my parents.

Thanks to all the dedicated teachers out there. It amazes me that people in their mid-30's with tons of kids can find the time to rehearse something like this and then perform it. The song was from a Broadway show called Wicked, and gives the message I am who I am because of you.

Simply amazing that after nearly 20 years of being apart they can still come together for this. It was amazing. Not Tabernacle Choir amazing, but reunion amazing.

Having some alone time with the wife at the hospital. Her sister is watching the kids while we're here with the newborn for four days and it feels nice, like a vacation. Just sent the noob to the nursery for the night (other than on demand feedings) and the wife and I are having some wine in the room, playing games (not Hide the Salami sadly), with the NBA Finals in the background.
