Ricky shoot around comments to media

I understand all the comments that can be written, but man we are serious and do self-criticism just like someone said in another post, it seems that Ricky is to blame until they have reinforced Eastern teams and that Gobert does not go to the game of the stars etc ... and if we put ourselves up to the future third world war it is also to ricky.
is nothing consistent throwing a basket and we all know. But from that to read atrocities that I have read there is a world.
And yet "as I put a day in another post" .. there is never a single comment of tangerines that throws crowder to basket, or that joe is deleted from the game more than once, or that Rudy he escapes too many balls from his hands and that he is a limited pivot in attack or even that Donovan's shot selection is often terrifying ..
NOTHING..
Only ricky, ricky and more ricky
Has given you to think that maybe this team is not contender because it is not as good as you think?.
and to finish, put a boy like Dante who has played 4 decent matches in 3 years as if he were the new messiah.
Long live the self-criticism
Best post i've read in this forum

Underrated?

Then why aren't we championship caliber? We lost by 50 to the Mavs, and it was hardly the only atrocious game we've had this year. No team in the league has near our chemistry off the top of my head, Hawks are a good one, what's their record again? GSW has plenty of chemistry issues and they are about to chip for the fourth time in five years.

It's cool to have good chemistry, but it's overrated. Especially when considering trades, free agents, etc. If we had traded Rubio or Favors for more talent we wouldn't have suddenly been worse because our players weren't best friends.

Having five players on the court who's skillsets compliment eachother well. Now that is underrated, especially round these parts.

Best post I have read in a while!

True that. Not one.

Sorry but this part was quite funny to read and I thought it could get lost in translation, although many people will probably understand it given the context. Lanzar mandarinas (to shoot / to throw tangerines) is an expression popularized by a famous (and unfortunately deceased) Spanish broadcaster, and it would be the equivalent to shooting bricks in English.

Now, Elfront, don't get too worked up because of what you read here or on any other basketball forum. Most fans can't help looking for a scapegoat when things are not going as they expected (regardless of whether those expectations were fair or not), and the easiest guy to root against is the one who's not that good at shooting, because for most of those fans it's more obvious and easier to assess than defense, leadership, intangibles or just being good at running an offense. You can bring a lot of those things and even do it consistently, but if you're not shooting well it's not gonna go unnoticed, and those same fans will even talk about how the rest of your game isn't that good either, or it's just not as important for the team. You just need to learn to live with it, don't pay attention to the haters, and if you still have a hard time reading them then the ignore list is your friend. There's one in every forum and it's pretty useful to avoid wasting time on trolls, haters or openly dumb (or merely ignorant) posters who would just feel naked and empty without their preferred narratives, so they just keep repeating them over and over.

As for Ricky's comments, I understand them, no player likes being offered to a different team when he's happy with his situation there and is confident the team can reach its goals, but that's the NBA for you. He'll move on right away and just give his all on the court as usual. And when July comes, he can look for a new home and find a situation where he doesn't have to go through the same experience next season. It's not like he fits the Jazz offense perfectly, nor viceversa, so it'll probably be for the best anyway.

My biggest concern is what this does to the other players. They love Ricky. So, when it comes to their free agency are they going to remember how they treated Ricky? Know what I'm sayin?

What do you expect them to do? They treated Ricky with respect and told him the truth about having him in trade talks. They were trying to improve the team which is part of the job.

Rubio whole career has been hurt because he hasn't been able to shoot consistently from 3 pt range. He's a good dude, and he has tried his best and has been a great teammate. He has got to understand that DLs job is to improve the team. Sometimes that means he has to make hard decisions and hurt some feelings.

If Ricky really loves it here, he'll accept being a backup and sign for backup money. I've been saying for a long time that it's the role that best suits him if he wants to play on a championship team. If he wants to be a starter on a 7-8 seed team and make a little more money, then he should move on. It's his choice. But I think I read that he feels he has already made enough money and that winning is what's more important now.
