Ricky shoot around comments to media

No thanks

I’m not advocating for it but I could see it happening. He fits in our timeline (he’s only 10 months older than Ricky), is a better perimeter shooter than Ricky (bad this year but I think he’d be more engaged on offense here and therefore shoot better like in previous seasons), can create and attack the rim (has near elite numbers here iirc) which is something we sorely need, and we’d shown interest once before 2-3 years ago iirc.

I may be wrong but I don't think Rubio will comeback nor will he want to. I could be wrong but it's kinda like a cheating GF but I don't know how that it is, only what I hear it to be like in songs and movies lol

These are my thoughts on this:
1 Context:
*Rubio talks to his teammates and they tell him how loved he is and how much they don't want him to be traded.
*Chances are Ricky asked Quin about all this and Quin told him that he wants him to stay and it's just the FO dealing him (true or false?).
*Rubio reads his twitter account and 99% of the comments are: "Do not trade Ricky" or "We love you Ricky".
*Since he doesn't read jazzfanz he doesn't know there are plenty of people who want his *** gone, his vision on this is: "everybody loves me but my FO is getting me out of here". Hence his comments.

2 It's funny (not) how fans keep talking about players not wanting to come to Utah, and when there is one who publicly states how much he wants to be in Utah, he's told to shut up and gtfo.

3 Chemistry is a plus, absolutely. Things have gone very wrong plenty of times this season and last, but this team always fights back. So much resiliency. Chemistry has a LOT to do with that. Plenty of examples of teams that literally implode and become bottom-feeders for years and years.

4 Fans keep blaming Rubio, Favors, Crowder, and Exum, but this team will get to wherever Donovan and Rudy take them. They are the ones who have to improve to TOP 10 in the league. Donovan especially isn't close to it right now. Rudy is DPOY but you need an elite efficient scorer, and Donovan isn't there yet. As soon as he is, this team is a contender with or without Rubio, Favors, Crowder, and Exum.

I doubt Quinn does that to the FO so no on that. And Ricky like most pro athlete knows he has fans that love him and plenty that don't. He has to be clear that his lack of shooting hurts this team. He knows he has a shooting problem. For sure Rudy and Donovan need to get better for us to contend but they will never get good enough that the supporting cast doesn't need to improve. This offense is built on ball movement and stretching the floor. In this system we will never contend without a starting PG who is a good 3 pt shooter. Having a PF who can do the same is an added bonus.

True dat.

Are you serious?

How is a FO meant to operate?? If anything you said was to eventuate you know what you do, you trade everyone! A FO cannot be held hostage by the feelings of the players.

That take might be the dumbest thing Ive read on here.

Thanks.

If he's this mentally fragile where this would affect him, I hope the Jazz don't sign him.

Professional sports is the career path he chose in life. The NBA is the league he chose to be in. These are the things one has to deal with in them.

Now more than likely, at least I hope this is the case, he's upset about it for a day or two but has time to cool off and realize this is the nature of the beast.
