You listed athletes who are iconic but who had very little influence in any structure of change of behavior within their sports. You take Lance Armstrong out of the picture, for example, and this year's Tour De France would probably play out almost exactly the way it is right now. A case could be made that Jordan is an exception. But if you're talking about long-term influence on a sport as a whole...none of these guys are really in the picture. What exactly did Michael Phelps influence, besides the bulge in your pants?

I don't know why when I try to have a discussion people have to speak down and be such condescending twats. I mean, I get if you don't agree with me, but don't act like what I'm saying is totally irrelevant and not bother to explain. YB85, at least explained after coming off with the same tone.
