What's new

RIP Phillip Seymour Hoffman

Drugs are bad, mmmkay! Sucks that people get hooked on that crap, he was a good actor.

I knew he was battling heroin addiction and there are stories that he was found with a needle still in his arm. Such a waste. Goodbye, Brandt.

Sad story. He was really trying hard not to relapse after being clean for so long. He also had three young children.

"He had undergone treatment for drug addiction in the past, and spoke in interviews about “falling off the wagon” last year after remaining clean for 23 years."

That's crazy^

Addictions are crazy. You'd be surprised at how many people relapse after being clean for years and years.

You'll be missed, Phillip.

He was really good in "Doubt". Couldn't have done a better job.

Paul Walker, now PSH? wow.. what a year to be an actor..

Wow, this really blows. PSH really was one of the best, he had such a range. He could've acted for another thirty years. Makes me sad to think about all the movies we won't get to see him in.

The only other actor dying in recent memory that sucked this much was Heath Ledger. There's another one who had really proved his chops as one of the best of his generation and could have been acting for another half-century. Such a waste.

Ledger was not in Hoffmans league, imo. The best thing about Hoffman was that he chose to do films that were interesting. I can't remember watching a film that he was in that wasn't well written.
