You're right. Guess we're gonna have to take the opinion of some bigoted, sexually-conflicted juice head from the Netherlands on the genetic-ramifications on drugs & physiology, instead of an entire body of researchers who have no beneficiary motive to make statements like "genes are implicated in drug addiction".

I get the argument that free will should ultimately trump all other factors. But the idea that because someone made a mistake - even/especially if they know it's a mistake - that costs them their own life, that isn't sad or that their legacy can be summed up by saying "sum dum junkie" is a pretty awful one. At the very least.
From everything I've been able to gather, PSH had been largely clean for the past 20 years and succumbed to relapses from time to time. Considering that, and his noteworthy and overwhelmingly positive contributions to the arts and culture of the world, let's have a little respect.

Did Mario Capecchi win a Nobel peace prize? Can you propose any sort of criteria to devalue Nobel Prizes in Physics, Medicine, or any of the Natural Sciences?

cant dney he made some great movies. i can enjoy those movies.
