Ledger was not in Hoffmans league, imo. The best thing about Hoffman was that he chose to do films that were interesting. I can't remember watching a film that he was in that wasn't well written.

I agree, but with another fifteen years to catch up, might have changed. Ledger was only 28. Now we'll never know.
