Rodney Hood's Career Night

Don't let a guy score 50 and turn into Harden in case you wanna expand his rookie contract?

Or don't risk your most important players for the playoffs?

I think the way they played the second half just totally showed the difference in class between the two players and organizations. Kobe was only trying to show what he can do, and Quin & Rodney just kept playing the game for the team. Kobe just continues to demonstrate what a me-first selfish SOB he has been and will always be.

The Jazz didn't run any plays in the second half for Hood - I don't recall them trying to set one screen. He would just stand in the corner with Kobe while everyone else played 4 on 4. I really think he could have taken it to Kobe any time he wanted to. It's like they didn't want to show up him up on his last game in Utah.
Kobe himself said if hood got the ball he would have went right by him and scored that's why he was basically hugging him the whole time.

Great post.

He is doing it for the fans. I really don't think it's Kobe being selfish. I think it's just Kobe giving teh people what they want.

This is a laughable and rather embarrassing post.

That so-called classless organization has the 2nd most championships of all franchises in the NBA. Furthermore, Kobe did exactly what he was supposed to do, stop a hot player from staying hot and burning his team.

this is a bizarre and incredibly blinkered post. What the Lakers are doing this year is not only embarassing to themselves but makes a mockery of the game. He is so bad and they just don't care about what kind of team they're putting out on the floor.

Do you think if the roles were reversed that they wouldn't have tried to deliberately force feed Kobe to let him get as many points as possible and carried on like a bunch of clowns ? I'm glad our organization displays dignity and respects the game.

LOL, we beat them by almost 50. How nice of us to take it easy on them. Also, their pick is top 3 protected. Whether fans like it or not, if you're not a playoff team and you're in danger of giving up a high pick, it would be completely asinine to try and win just enough games to lose your pick. And don't act like tanking is beneath Utah. My God, I thought all the high horsey riders got knocked off their perch after all the big talk about how the warriors would be perpetually stuck with a losing mindset.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go take a bath in bleach and then a shower, as I never imagined having to defend the team I hate more than anything else on the planet.

I definitely got knocked off my high horse on that one, and I was nowhere near the most adamant about the culture of losing thing. Freak owned everybody in that argument. I wonder where he disappeared to.

My hate for the Lakers is so deep that I wish we were locked into the 5th spot and lost to them last night just to potentially screw over their draft possibilities...

Career half night. Career half marriage. Is Rodney the Roadie sleeping with someone's wife? That is what I want to know. I hope it is Dennis Rodmans lady
