His assists would not be the same in our system (still probably better than Rubios though) but he would hit open shots at a higher rate. He also turns the ball over less and plays better defense. Rubio kills our spacing, no one guards him. Rondo would get more open looks in our offense than he does with NO as well.
Plus he would expire at the end of the year which is the best part.
Not convinced. He doesn't play better defense than Rubio. His last couple of years in Boston plus his stints in Chicago and Sacramento show otherwise. He just stopped trying and only cared last year during the playoffs.
Also, can he play for Snyder who is very methodical and demanding on his players? For all we know Rondo is very mercurial, introverted and believes he is the smartest person in the room. Baxter Holmes did an excellent story on him a couple of years ago:

The experience in Dallas under Carslile is evidence of this. What he did in the PO was truly unprofessional.
Maybe he needs a very particular environment where he is not held accountable on defense and is given a long leash on offense. For instance, Alvin Gentry on Rondo running the offense:

Given his personality traits and our roster, do you truly believe Utah would be a good fit for him? I would rather have Rubio, even with all the holes in his game.
