Rough Seas Ahead

Lets enjoy this 6-3 record right now, because the days of playing relative cream-puffs is about over. The next 10 games consist of a few pretty rough matchups. Sure, there are some semi-crap teams in the mix, but overall the competition is much stiffer. Predict our W-L over the next 10 games:

vs Lakers
vs Nets
@ Nuggets
vs Clippers
vs Mavericks
vs T-Wolves
vs Raptors
@ Dallas
vs Sacramento
vs Portland

Lots and lots of home games in the mix, but against some good road teams and contenders. Even the should-win games like the Kings and the Wolves may be harder to win with some losing-caused adversity thrown in the mix.

We'll probably come back to earth here (sadly), in my opinion. Hater, believer, realist, it is time to put up or shut up.

I am feeling 3-7. Just catching bad vibes right now. Our entire backcourt is struggling. Just a hunch. Would love to eat words and blow this prediction.

Nets Raptors and Sacramento should be wins. Wolves and Portland could go anyway. Rest is losses. So 5-5 best case scenario for me, 3-7 should be about right, would not mind 4-6.

However, I would like the Jazz to have a particularly good showing against the Nets. I still can't help but fantasize that a reformed D-Will comes back (provided the Jazz have the cap space after dumping Harris and maybe Jefferson).

I would cream myself if that actually happened.

5-5 is likely, 6-4 is possible (as is 7-3 actually) but on the outside chance. Realistic is 4-6.

Hoping for 5-5, preparing for 3-7.
Same.

I know I should be rooting for a playoff spot, but a lottery pick is much more important for long-term success. I'd be more enthused if the youngsters were playing better. But it's Jefferson, Howard and Millsap leading the way. Maybe the true "star" of the team will come via the draft or in a trade KOC makes with some combination of the TPE, expirings and the lottery pick(s).

I see 5-5 myself. 3-7 will be disappointing but eh, I wouldn't be all that upset. I would truly be upset with anything less than that.

Put me down for 5 and 5. If Al continues to pass out, Howard continues to look like his old self, Millsap stays agressive, Hayward get more agressive and plays the 2, we could do better than 5-5.

Before the season I had them at 4-6 in this stretch, and that still sounds about right. I've tasted the Kool-aid provided by a 5-game streak, but I'm not yet drinking it.

I have them down for wins over the Nets, Wolves, Raptors and Kings. That gives them 4 home losses (Lakers, Clippers, Dallas and Blazers), so I could see them improving on that IF they keep playing well.

....I see 9-1...with the only loss coming to Dallas in Dallas! The rest of that bunch are chump teams! We shot almost 60% last night! NBA teams are regularly shooting in the 30% range these days!!!
