Rudy back to beasting... this changes everything.

At one point I saw Kosta and Fesenko as our 4/5 tandem.
I was never quite sold on Fesenko. But Koufos looked really good his rookie year. The Jazz bungled his development path pretty hard (they suddenly put him in mothballs in favor of Jaron Collins, shattering his confidence and progress, then gave up on him).

One of the dumbest points in the history of Jazz fandom.

Plus there were others in that thread defending the OP position on the matter.

For most of last night Rudy looked like a man surrounded by boys in the paint.

I respect Kosta Koufos - he's turned zero talent into a 10 year NBA career. But it wasn't even fair at times.

This isn’t fair. Koufos has a good nba body, and decent athleticism and smarts.

I was high on Fesenko with his abilities. Him as a total package never worked out, which is 100% on him. I always thought he could be a Sabonis-type impact player (as in very talented and valuable but not an all star — not comparing their games at all).

But Collins, my goodness. Overall nice guy and managed to carve out 8 years and nearly 8,000 minutes for us, but holy hell. We protected him in the expansion draft (he wouldn’t have been taken) while exposing our first rounder from the previous year, and KOC went into an off-season saying “Re-signing Jarron Collins is our top priority this off-season,” as if 1) someone else was going to snatch him up and 2) that it would even matter if they did.

Who was our first rounder we exposed?

He needs to get the ball more. This team has been much worse at delivering catchable passes to him. I can excuse Donovan for some of this becuase he's still learning how to read those situations but the rest of the guys have to be better. He should be getting 16PPG easy just on rim dives and good passes. They have been available and guys just aren't throwing them or are throwing them badly. When Gobert is more engaged offensively he somehow seems to play with even more intensity defensively.
