In other words, he had more blocks by himself than the average team?
Yes.

Ostertag was good for a long time, and great for a short time (maybe 2 seasons).
Regarding #2, loyalty has nothing to do with greatness/talent. Like Shaq is better than Eaton even though he didn't play for only one franchise.Eaton>Gobert and it is not even close!
I might concede that Rudy's peak is probably higher, but even if that is true he is way behind Eaton for two reasons:
1) Eaton played more that twice the regular season minutes, and almost three times the playoff minutes.
2) Eaton played his entire career for the Jazz, so there is no questioning his commitment and loyalty. Rudy hasn't had the opportunity to leave so we don't know what will happen. If Rudy leaves next FA period, then Mark will retain his spot as King of the Jazz Centers.
We've had worse. The jazz could give me a contract and I would never leave and play my whole career there if they would let me. I would still be a really crappy NBA player though.
Ironically, I think that Favors is still ahead of him due to a several year head start. Now that Favors is not an active Jazzman, Gobert should catch him pretty quickly.
Everybody remembers Stockton taking over, but Ostertag had 16 points, 14 rebounds and a few blocks whilst holding Olajuwon in check in game 6 of the 97 WCF. My man Greg deserves some respect for being instrumental in getting us to the finals for the first time (honourable mention to Bryon (don’t call me Byron) Russell, who hit a couple of critical 3 pointers late in the 4th)Gobert is the best of all time , then Eaton. Ostrichrag was the worst by leaps and bounds (was absolutely worthless) Honorable mention Handlogten.
