Needless to say, I was shocked when I saw the ticker flash that Deron had been traded last year. I was disappointed, but more surprised than anything else. I've been okay with it for some time because I didn't like the direction that he was headed attitude-wise and, like the Jazz brass, wasn't overly confident that he was going to re-sign with Utah anyway. I felt then and I feel now that he will end up signing a max contract with his hometown Dallas Mavericks, where he will play the prime of his career. It doesn't matter how much his wife complains - Deron will convince her that a move to Texas would be just as good.
