Just in case you missed it.
Seriously, after reviewing the OP link from The Young Turks, aka TYT, I found their statement about Christianity to be a reprehensible misrepresentation. Given the "bad' data coming from the medieval traditions about how sinners will burn. . . . first of all, there's little actual Biblical material on it, and from my point of view even if there is one account of Jesus using that imagery, in the parable of the rich man and the beggar, there is nothing in the OT about anyone burning in any "Hell", and everything we have from the early Christian era, the New Testament, came through those biased medieval hands. A lot of Christians may accept that imagery. but I don't.
To be fair, I have created a sort of endless burning Hell for myself here on this earth, in this life, where my punishment is trying to discuss religion on a sports forum, and I can't imagine actually burning in sulfur to be a superior torment. . . .
But the Turks made the point that for unbelievers it's understandable that Lucifer is a good sort of rebel because he didn't buy that plan, and they make it out that he stood for something principled in opposing God's supposedly unjust plan which would torment so many souls pointlessly for ever.
No, that's not the plan. Lucifer wanted to be the Big Boss and supplant God in His own family, and planned to force everyone to do right so no injustices or crimes could be committed, and so no one would suffer. . . .. with the ultimate result being that we all would be forced to worship him.. .. . obviously, the only one who could tell everyone what is right, and make them do it.
Jesus' plan consisted of a simple statement that He would follow the Father's plan, and pay for all the sins, suffering, and torment we would inflict on one another in this world, and provide us a way back home, healed and renewed from all we went through in this world.
At any rate, our schools can't even teach science without politicizing it and propagandizing it to suit our bad governance honchos, and I hardly consider Satanism, in earnest or in jest, any worse than secular humanism with it's plan that we can just hire some professional managers to decide everything for us, and let some cozy little clans like the Rockefellers, Clintons, Obamas, and Bushes take turns playing Jesus with the Presidency.
So, EJ, PKM might think a lot rides on the decision to call on Jesus to save us from all this, and it might very well be a burning hell we are in, given a nuke or two gone wrong. I consider it a burning torment to just be here.
Swing low, sweet chariot.
