Scrimmage

Does Zach Randolph jump over anyone?

Plus, he needs to jump through them take the contact and make the basket. YOu don't get a beast and tell him to play soft. He is only going to be good if he attacks and gets fouled. He can learn to stretch the floor but mostly get the other bigs in foul trouble.

Raja is the official @55 of the jazz the way he was working Keith Mcloud. I miss Ronnie Price he would have dominated all of the other 3rd pg that were on the court tonight even Watson really did nothing.

Price excels at this sort of venue. Thing is, when you put him on in-game situations where as a PG he needs to facilitate first and foremost, he'd be utterly embarrassing.

I watched a ?replay? of the game. My only complaint was that Favors looked invisible. I've got a lot of hope riding on Favors. I need to see more, heck, something out of him.

The only play I even thought was a good one was Hayward's pass to Evans. That was nice. Oh, I guess Miles had a nice block too. Miles is just so frustrating every year I hate to even mention him.

He excels like CJ and a few others because they are athletes the whole half court sets take away their strengths speed, making moves in space, and leaping ability. Lebron or Kobe would just be jump shooters here. I think that Corbin is going to let down the reigns and we can see those guys excel.

I didn't see the how scrimmage but what I saw was a more athletic team. Here are my impression. First of all I want everyone to remember that it was a scrimmage and not a game.

CJ and Hayward looked the best with Raja and Harris close behind.
Jeremy Evans has improved. I certainly think he can play some SF. Made a really nice move to hit a jumper. He played more confidently.

Memo looked good considering he was coming off his injury.

Of all the free agents - Gilder looked like he could be a 14th man. Carter, Mcleod, Scotty Reynolds have little shot of sticking but certainly are upgrades for past years.

Burks and Kanter. Both looked nervous but Burks certainly can play the PG his shot was just a tad of the time I saw him play. I didn't see the get to the rim ability as much as I would like to have seen.

Kanter was playing hard. He did look lost and the backcourt guys were not exacting helping him out with getting the team into the offense. What I did notice is that he is strong as a bull. Even though he may get his shot blocked a few times, he will be hard to get off the block. Where he struggles is when he is at the top of the key. That will come with time. All the Kanter sucks comments are ridiculous. The kid will rebound and score inside.

I didn't see much from Favors but again I didn't see the whole scrimmage.

I thought the game got a little sloppy at the end. I was happy with the overall effort and the athleticism. The motion option seems like it evolves everyone but is it going to work when they play real games and against tough defenses. Overall, I was pretty impressed for a first scrimmage.

Oh another thing, the crowd looked huge but not very noisy. Still it was an impressive crowd for a scrimmage.

And wtf could be the point? To me Corbin's been an ******* regarding Howard. Before he even arrived to Utah. Uncle-Tom b.s if you ask me.

In his interview today, Corbin said Howard isn't ready for minutes. He doesn't expect him to play much when the season opens. He said Howard still has to get in shape and that he'll be evaluated in practice.
