Game Thread September 1, 2020: Jazz at Nuggets - Game 7

And "last game" also happened to be our most important game of the season.

If you wanna talk about games that don't really matter, we can play this all day, if you are so sure that no one has dropped 30 on Conley at any point during this season.

Ah, so now we are including every game of the season. Changing parameters until they fit your argument uh?. We go from this game, to the series to now every game of the season. How convenient.

But is your argument! outscoring opponents is what matters hehe. So, if you disregard his assigments because they are minions, then give him credit when he does a good job against a guy who has been scoring 40+ the previous games. Be fair and give credit when is due even if you don't like the guy.

But if you want to go that route, hell yeah, Conley is overpaid. Has anyone argued against that?

Not impressed with Quin. Mike is having a ****** game and struggling with the length of Denver then he puts it in his hand a ton down the stretch.

Dont think he used one challenge the whole series... had a chance to on the charge... didn’t do it.

He finally recognizes TB ain’t it and throws Morgan in there... but now it’s game 7. Not setting homeboy up for success.

Mixes up his coverages on the pick and pop... then holy **** we hold Jamal under 50.

I will say everyone generally looked scared to shoot except DM and Jordan. Played terrible. So damn disappointed.

Cant wait for DL to talk about useless platitudes and run it back next year. Gotta get more data.

Never mind then. I thought it was to easy to explain to someone that winning a basketball game is about scoring more points than your opponent. but I guess I'm wrong.

I'm dissapointed by how late some of the adjustments were, especially on defense. As you said, we defended much better by asking Rudy to defend the point of attack, and then using DM/Conley on the action, as they were more effective navigating Jokic's screens. Bradley playing less was obvious. Why making these changes in Game 7?. DM was gassed at the end, it's the only explanation why Conley had the ball so much (I guess DM's last few minutes shows he ran out of gas).

Never mind then. I thought it was to easy to explain to someone that winning a basketball game is about scoring more points than your opponent. but I guess I'm wrong.

- Conley scores 20 but matchup scores 30. Reason we lose.
- But no one scored 30 on Conley during the series, and he outscored his matchups except the last game. Even then, he played good D tonight.
- But they were scrubs!

this is so weird. the goal should be to try to win a challenge every game. at the beginning of the game, the threshold is higher for what you challenge, a glaring mistake by the refs. as the game goes on, the threshold drops. at the end of the game, just challenge anything. why the hell not? Snyder has dozens of assistant coaches. just assign one of them to find him a call to challenge. why is this so dammed hard?
