What's new

Shaq

Everyone makes mistakes -- even I do -- but you can't fault TJ, he is doing a great job. Never had a media guy like him to be so much a part of the board, though Andy is starting to get connected as well. Now all we need to do is get DL to listen to the board, and the Jazz will make it to the promised land of the NBA title ...
I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

so for all the hype this dude will struggle to even get past Oni on the pecking order.
If so it’s because Oni is pretty good so that’s great. We are also going to need help at the guard position once we have an injury or start managing loads. He will play and he will help.

Just going by what I saw in watching Shaq's shots, it seems like lots of his playing time was in garbage time last year.
I mean in Phoenix and Chicago the last three years... how much non garbage time is there? None is the correct answer.

With a condensed schedule, I expect a more-than-normal load management strategy.

I'm starting to see Shaq as filling a slightly different lane than Oni or Royce. All can be involved in switching 1-4. But I think each has optimal assignments:
Shaq: PGs & SGs
Oni: SGs & SFs
Royce: SFs & (some) PFs
