He looked worse last night than I have ever seen

He was awful. He needs playing time to either prove he's that awful or figure it out. It wasn't just the missed shots. There were times he was just nowhere near where he should be.

Guys playing on short leashes at the fringes of the rotation aren't going to play their best. Especially a guy that hasn't figured out where he needs to be. There is zero reason he shouldn't get 15 minutes a night no matter what. Communicate it to him so he can relax a bit out there. Worst case you figure out he's not a guy and you lose some extra games (which is a big win)... or he plays through it and you find something. If Cody can turn things around I see no reason Taylor can't.

Seems like most mock drafts had him around #10 so Jazz did not take a flier on him.
But I still hope he works out Some nights he looks good Other nights he stinks

I was at the game last night and Hardy basically chewed Hendricks *** anytime he came off the court. He was pissed at him . . . Seems like it's a mental thing, not being where he needs to be on the court, Hardy did lots of pointing while yelling at him.

Other observations that will get you a toothpick and a glass of water at a restaurant:

*I thought Cody looked pretty good! Still disappears at times, but when he's aggressive you see the potential
*That was the ACE everybody feared we would see....made some good shote, took some real stinkers. Pretty bad he didn't get a single rebound
*Lauri was RUSTY
*Brook Lopez moves weird in real life. Not sure how else to explain it. His build or something is just off.
*I have some questions about Walt's body language....maybe it's just his face, but it seems like the January grind is hitting our youngsters. (probably the losing too)
*When Kawhi is KAWHI he is pretty unbelievable. I was scared for my own physical well being and he wasn't even guarding me. Can't imagine how Ace and Lauri felt.
*Dunn and Kawhi can shut an offense down real quick.

It's hard to evaluate a player when they aren't given consistent minutes/role on the team. Hendricks should make the most of any minutes he's given, that's on him, but for me to evaluate him it's difficult.

I'm assuming there will be a period of time where Hendricks is given plenty of minutes for proper evaluation at some point this season.

He seemed scared to get the ball and when he did get the ball he was terrified to do anything. I dont know if he has been told not to do anything or he just won't but those plays where he would get the ball on the perimeter and hold it until a teammate came close enough for him to hand it off to them were horrible.
We had multiple turnovers on those plays.
Lauri (or whoever) would come to get the ball from him and then Taylor's defender would just leave Taylor and double Lauri (or whoever).
Let's not run those plays anymore.

Like he might just be super low bbiq guy but if he gets reps without fear of being berated by the coach or constantly overthinking where he should be it should improve. Its just a horrible situation/approach for Taylor tbh. Like it destroys any confidence the guy could have. Maybe he's a lazy *** or something and Hardy hates him but its not the "show love" approach I would expect lol. Maybe this is the tough love portion and he builds him up over the next 30 games but its just a weird approach imo.

He's definitely in his head... which is why yelling and screaming may not be a sound approach lol.

It kills at least three birds with one stone to play him. The only argument for not is “because that’s how you have to do it.”

Hendricks cant guard anyone. He gets blown by on the perimeter by literally everyone.

On offense, he sits in the corner and doesnt do anything. The one time he cut to the basket, he turned the ball over.

It is a terrible approach. The guy is playing scared which just leads to more mistakes. Just give him some worry free minutes so can actually relax out there and no that if he makes mistakes he can play through them. Instead we are wasting time on Kyle Anderson for no reason at all.
