Should Cody spend time in the G LEAGUE

Should Cody Williams get sent down to the Stars for a stint?

I think the skinny factor was a distraction from his other major flaws. It's his most obvious issue and one that theoretically gets better....but in no world should we consider a guy with the worst peripherals stats a do it all player. I made this mistake, that's for sure.

Cody broke a finger on his non shooting hand earlier. Some people handle pain better than others and I just wonder if that is a big contributor to his awfulness.

His rebounding and stocks have been decent in the G, especially considering he's sharing the floor with Oscar.

One thing I recall about Cody in the pre college discussion is that a number of people I listened to said he was really bad in the international tournaments. I know he had a lot of hype before that then a lot of people dropped him after those.

Yeah, he just didn't play at all in the all-star circuits and international tournaments because he was so bad.

He followed that up with a bad college season but moved up just because the draft itself was so bad.

But in retrospect, if you're so bad that you can't get minutes in the McDonalds All-American game and you follow that up by being bad in college... It's probably a bad sign.

He played in the international tourneys. He also played at McDonald's, which doesn't matter at all as it's an all star type environment.

Plus there were reports he was impressive in that game.

His college season wasn't bad at all.

Why do you say he was bad in college? He wasn't amazing, but was very good for a Freshman. Here are his game logs and when I compare these against the Freshman this year, he compares pretty well to all, but the top 4 or 5 guys. For sure he limped to the finish line with a very unproductive end of the season, but the majority of his games were very impressive for a Freshman.

I think a lot of the scouting staffs in the league saw the potential. He was good in Summer League and if memory serves he had a couple of good preseason games.
