Should Hayward be benched?

There are plenty of wings that can't even get to the hoop off the bounce, having a play maker like that is a invaluable asset. He is not some freak athlete that can always finish over NBA big men - he was the 9th pick in the draft. Shooting was his bankable skill, everything else is a bonus. If you have a complaint about Hayward, the only legitimate one is his shot is not falling yet.

Can it get any more absurd? Watch the games.

It's ridiculous to assume he ever gets to the hole. Those of us who actually watch see a reckless sophomore getting into one desperate situation after the next. Hayward can't even learn what they teach you in junior high: Never leave your feet praying for a man to open up.

You're all praising a guy for breaking all offensive cohesion this team is building. Hayward is an offense killer plain and simple, and Los Angeles Lakers thank him for his drive and dish reckless abandon.

That is a valid criticism franklin. I believe that he is trying to be too team oriented and needs to end up actually shooting on some of those drives.
I rep'd ya for that observation alone.

I would only do this if we could also swap milsap for McGee because hes tall.
No way Washington does that. If we're lucky, Phenix will trade JARED DUDLEY 2 us becuz lets face it mislap is just 2 short 4ever.

What a bunch of pathetic homers. One guy disagrees with your saviour and he's automatically a troll...

Hayward has not learned a single thing from his rookie year and extended off-season improvement opportunity. NOTHING.

As far as the trade, yeah, it was a bit spurious, but Nick Young is cheap and bad *** and Lewis can be amnestied for the price of one year's worth of new CBA profit sharing. Isn't it amazing how quick you are to call someone a moran while putting absolutely nothing of substance into a post?
Wait, you're serious? Tell me you're not serious.

And to actually answer the question that I was certain was a joke:

No (t yet). You couldn't have started this thread at a worse time. Besides one terrible passed up shot at the rim, he played terrific last night.

Wait, you're serious? Tell me you're not serious.

Yes I'm serious. I had enough watching the kid play with reckless abandon. He's screwing up the offense and defense at the same time. The only thing he does is drive and dish, and whoever catches his hail mary pass has to completely reset the offense. If not they're out of balance and the other team runs them out the gym after every rebound.

Not yet was probably the only intelligent thing said in this thread outside my commentary. If you want him sticking around, fine. Whatever. But please go down to ESA and kick him in the *** real good for me. Tell him to quit playing like some And 1 spastic playground baller. While you're at it a ten foot jump shot would be nice too.

I would love to find out how the coaching staff is helping Hayward. Obviously, he played better in the Denver game by actually trying to finish at the rim instead of fling it out to someone on the wing. I am rooting for Hayward to get a consistent game together, but some nights, it is painful to watch.

He gets to the hole fairly easily and the defense collapses heavy every time because we have no respectable three point shooters (3rd worse in the league currently). If you put him in a system like San Antonio's with a properly spaced floor, he would look a lot like Manu Ginobli. Not as good yet, obviously, but they do virtually the same thing. You're looking for something to b1tch about because you have nothing in the world to do. Did your Wizards win today?

If it's true that he's best at SG, then that is all the more reason to:

(a) drain off some of Bell's minutes and play him there
(b) trade Harris and create minutes for Burks at PG (I want to see some experimentation with this). FYI, this isn't me saying Burks should be the primary backup... just that Burks should find a handful of minutes there if GH is getting more burn at SG.

My hope is that we're about to see new wrinkles with the backcourt situation. Ty obviously was focused on getting his defensive system in place, next the offense has been progressing on the low block.... next has got to be the backcourt, right? right?

RIght. Trade Hayward.

Granger and George for Hayward, AJ, the GS pick and another if that's what it takes to get them to agree to that kind of robbery.

(BTW, my thread is 3 pages!!!!!!!!111!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!/////////)

I was going to contribute something stoopid to this thread, but it didn't need it.
Are we done here?

It's only 2 pages on my computer.
