What the Jazz need, IMO, in order of importance:
1. Talent (ideally a legit star whom we can build an offense around, obvi)
2. Outside shooting
3. A defensive stopper on the wing
If we can't accomplish #1 on that list, then the next best thing we can do is get another player of Hayward's offensive aptitude and hope that the two of them together can suffice (in combination with elite team defense). Hood might be able to get to that point. If not, DeRozan is a viable option. There's no guarantee that it would be enough to create an offense good enough to win it all, but I'm not sure what else we're supposed to do if we can't land an actual star.
