Should the Jazz Punt Game 2?

Not only that, but Donovan sitting out because he's hurt never did and never will have a ****ing thing to do with punting.
Yes it does.

Do you think the Jazz staff would use the same approach w/ this injury in game 2 as they would in an elimination game?

Of course they should punt the game. Brilliant stuff. Even better, they should just concede. Throw in the towel. Pull a Lavar Ball and just have the team walk off the court.

OP holds himself to a higher standard of competitiveness when arguing on this forum than he expects from the Jazz (world class professionals), it's just based on defiance obviously. Dude probably hasn't had a competitive bone in his body since he was playing pokemon cards in elementary schoo.

Think about what kind of sound-byte would come from Gobert if they asked him about punting this game for Mitchell's foot.

If Cy was a Nationals fan he'd have been the lone fan rooting for Stephen Strasburg to get shut down rookie year on the innings limit.

Mitchell said this is the most pain he has ever tried to play with.

So we should sit him and just not play the game to win. That's what you original idea was.

Whether he plays or not, you suggested we sit and "punt" which means give up.

My math on that is 100% accurate.

Damn, I kinda look good next to that. Cy is like my fat friend who makes me look skinny.

Punting doesn't mean try to lose or dont try to win.
punts happen in every football game in history. When a team punts they usually do so to try to win the game cause going for it on 4th down decreases the chances of winning more than the punt does.

I read the op as "would it be better to rest donovan tonight so he can be fully healthy for the rest of the series?" I didn't take it to mean "should we intentionally lose tonight just for funsies?"
