SI picks Utes to win PAC12 South.

No, my argument is that Utah is better than USC, and even the national media is saying Utah is in the consensus top 2 picks to represent the PAC 12 South in the championship game.

Basically, my argument is that Sports Illustrated's prediction was not far fetched. The rest of the national media has the Utes pretty close to where Sports Illustrated has them.

"Clearly" we found out who was better today.

Yeah BYU has an easy schedule, no doubt. None the less, they need to go undefeated to play in a BCS bowl. And even then, they will have trouble passing Boise State.

You can bet they will lose to Utah, possibly lose to TCU, and might lose to Texas.

Utah, on the other hand, doesn't have to worry about any of that. If they win the Pac 12 Championship game, they are in the Rose Bowl. And if they lose the Pac 12 Championship game, they still go to the Rose Bowl if the Pac 12 Champion is in the national championship game (which is not a far fetched scenario at all).

Not far-fetched? Which Pac-12 team is going to the title game? Oregon who already got their *** handed to them once?

USC was not "clearly" the better team, lol. In case you guys missed it, Utah had a chance to win on the last play of the game. And this was with Jordan Wynn playing like crap, and John White getting hurt and missing a crucial series. If they try one more play at the end, who knows what happens.

That game could have gone either way. Anyone saying USC was clearly the better team obviously didn't watch the game. Utah was going for a routing 41 yard field goal to tie the game at the end and USC blocked it. That is not going to happen too often.

Utah has to do something about Jordan Wynn though. We have a pretty good running back in White, very good receivers, and a QB who makes bad decisions, throws like a 7th grade girl, and cowers in fear whenever there is the slightest bit of pressure. If this guy can't find his game he needs to be benched. Either he is hurt and needs to be benched, or he is healthy and needs to be benched because he sucks. It may very well be a mental thing like Whitt said, but he is hurting the team at this point. A halfway decent game from Wynn and we blow USC out yesterday. Heck, we almost beat them with the crappy Wynn.

Or Stanford, you know, the highest ranked team in the Pac 12, with the best QB in the nation, and many people's preseaon favorites to win the Pac 12.

You need to recheck your math there. The final play of the game was a field goal attempt. The final score was 17-14. A field goal is worth three points. Something here doesn't add up. Anybody else know what it is?

Gotcha. My apologies. I doubt they'll make it though. If they do, they'll get their asses handed to them.

FSU vs. Oklahoma next week. Now that's a real game. Despite getting our asses kicked last year in Norman, and this game being at home, I see us still being a year away and losing 38-30.

And a touchdown is worth 7 points. So as I said, Utah had a chance to win on the final play of the game. Or are you suggesting a touchdown is out of the question when the line of scrimmage is the 24 yard line? They had a chance to win, they obviously didn't take advantage of it.
