Siri

There's a difference between searching and the program providing you the correct answer the first time.
Yes, I know of the difference. How do I know? Because you can do both with an Android phone, and have been able to for a long time.

You don't remember when T-Mobile was advertising this like they were the only ones with it? They called it the "genius button" but it was really just the "search" button of any Android phone.

This video is from like 18 months ago. That was several versions of Android ago, and the functionality has improved lots with each newer version. But here is how it used to look and work back then:

That was stock Android 18 months ago. As has already been posted, there are many apps that you can install on Android (for free) that add even more functionality to the voice recognition. Here is one person comparing vlingo to siri:

Don't hate on Apple for being smart enough to let you know what they can actually do. Did Android have it first? Sure. Did anyone know about it? Doesn't sound like many. It is not Apple's fault that Android is too dumb to market their technology, instead marketing how they can do the things Apple already does.

Uh, there are more Android devices out there than IOS devices. You may not have known about it, but plenty of others did. Android has had a bigger market share than IOS for quite a while.

"Google's Android platform has seen growth that exceeds even the wildest of expectations. Android now holds 48 percent of global market share, while the iPhone has reached second place with 19 percent."

Android was available on every carrier. Apple WAS available on only one (though that is changing). Android has many, many, many models, from cheap to expensive. Apple has 4, 5? At one point a couple of years ago, Apple had 28%, Android was 35%. That is pathetic for Android, considering at the time, Apple was only available on AT&T. Finally, Apple charges hundreds of dollars for their phone. 50% of Android phones are given away for free (that is probably an exaggeration, but not by much, seeing how every Android is available as a buy one, get one free.

Android might have a great phone, but they have to give their away. Apple may have an inferior phone, but they have people lining up out the door to pay hundreds of dollars for them. My point still stands. Until Android can effectively market their phone, they have no business whining about how they did it first.

1: iPhone was released before Android, of course it had more market share at one time.

2: You can get older model iPhones for cheap/free, they aren't all hundreds of dollars.

3: Newer model Androids cost hundreds of dollars too, only older and lesser spec'd models are cheap/free.

4: Newer model Androids sell out too. The Evo, for example, sold out as soon as they hit the shelves for months.

None of that changes the fact that you were wrong in your original point: plenty of people knew Android had it first. Android has a way bigger market share than IOS and every one of those Android devices has it.

Crazy! I just asked my mytouch 4g if I needed to poop and it told me, "Yes you do." So I went and sure enough, I pooped!
