Trolling might just be the most worthless type of fishing next to worm/powerbait fishing. Damn you all to heck.

I don't know who you are including in "us" Bum, but I hope it's not just you and me, for a couple of reasons:

1. I really wouldn't like for my posts, and posting style, to be compared just to yours.

2. There's no way of knowing of course, but "us" must include at least 50% of the "active" posters on this board, all of whom must certainly have been assessed with several warnings and a couple of infractions for "trolling," I figure. If you're trying to confine it to just you and me, you're way off-base, I spect.

Yes, certain methods of tricking fish into biting your hook are superior to others. Those who practice the inferior methods, while they don't catch fewer fish, they are truly inferior people.

Trolling is fun. Besides that it works rather well. I guess if the reason you fish is to demonstrate your superiority to others it just won't do, but if you're just after a couple of fish it's not a bad way to go.

Damn elitist fly fisherman.

I agree with Trout. Shore fishing/bait fishing and trolling are inferior.
 
I touched a nerve with Mr. Trolling, my apologies. What I should've said was, I hate trolling myself, almost as much as bait fishing.

If you dig it, then do it -- I have no beef.

Hooks are for chumps, I figure, eh, Game? If I want me a mess of fish, I just git in a boat, go out on the river, and drop a stick of dynamite overboard. Fills your freezer plumb up, right quick, I tellya!
