Check out the contribution from @Handlogten's Heros and @Coach Ellis . I think that’s about as close as we could get. There has to be a concept where every team has to win every game during the season so all fans can enjoy watching and routing
for their team
Nah, that forces teams that would sneak in to the playoffs and get destroyed in round 1 to lose on purpose to get the #1 pick while also making the bad teams more likely to stay bad for longer.Do a reverse lottery
The 14 teams that don't make playoffs the team with best record gets the #1 pick and so on
That forces every team to try and win every game
This post is not idea to eliminate tanking though.Draft a franchise player then immediately move your pieces to build around him. Not rocket science. Don't tank for the sake of tanking.
That only really makes sense if the franchise player is ready to be a top 20 player within his rookie contract.Draft a franchise player then immediately move your pieces to build around him. Not rocket science. Don't tank for the sake of tanking.
I was referring to the possiblity that a team might try to play extra physical against a team they own their pick in order to improve it through injuring their players. It was a dumb comment though. So like the jazz have the wizards pick and the jazz play the wizards. Jazz want to win the game and the wizards also want to win the game. What is the dirty stuff?
Like its kind of wild to me the Spurs arent going full steam ahead given Wemby already has the ability to play like a top 5 player in the NBA. I wouldnt want to waste any time while he's a super cheap player.
