Sorry Jazz fans – Ben is the NBA Rookie of the Year

Westbrooke and Harden's stats are really close. There is nothing in it. The mvp can go to either one.

Harden 30.4/5.4/8.8/1.8/0.7
Total = 47.1 in 35.4 min per game
l
westbrooke 25.4/10.1/10.3/1.8/0.3
Total = 47.9 in 36.4 min per game

Since westbrooke won it last year and stat padded this year, they would most likely give the mvp to Harden this time.

On the other hand, Simmons and mitchell's stats are not even close. Ben's stats were substantially better during the regular season. Any unbiased judge would give the ROY award to Ben.

simmons 15.8/8.1/8.2/1.7/0.9
Total = 34.7 in 33.7 min per game

mitchell 20.5/3.7/3.7/1.5/0.3
Total = 29.7 in 33.4 min per game

You forgot to add three point shooting and ft shooting. Even with overall shooting Mitchell wins with that total thing u cooked up

You can't compare 3 pt % between the two because Ben did not genuinely attempt one. All of his 10 or so 3 pt attempts were half court heaves.

Scoring matters more than anything else and it's not close between these two. Mitchell is a vastly superior scorer.

Any pg can get 10 assists per game for 76ers that's why both the other pgs have got a triple double this year for them.

Fultz would have averaged close to a triple double this year has he been healthy and started this year instead of Simmons.

Also Simmons personally lost the game to Boston. Embiid if going to get tired of Simmons holding them back. Hopefully 76ers have the guts to get LeBron and they trade Simmons for a better fit player.

So, because Simmons didn't shoot threes, it should be ignored? Why? It's a stat isn't it? Don't u think if he could shoot threes he would?

Harden wouldn't be nearly as effective if he didn't shoot threes, Simmons would be an all time great right now if he could hit threes

Scoring is important only when you are an efficient scorer like Ben Simmons or Harden. Mitchell is not an efficient scorer right now! His chucking actually hurted the jazz on many occassions. The 5th game in the playoff against the thunders is a good example.

Fultz would not have been good enough to play 30+ minutes a game like simmons did in the regular season.
He is not even playing in the playoff right now because he is not good enough just yet.

Not an inefficient scorer, sorry.

Also interesting is that if you look at the rookie stats of Kevin Durant they are almost identical to Mitchell's stats. Both shot 17 shots a game both scored 20 a game. KD shot two more ft's but DM made 34% of his threes, KD made only 28% of his threes. Both shot 43% from the field. KD is on his way to being an all time great and will be a HOF player. KD was his teams #1 option, same as Mitchell. I'm excited for what the future might bring for Mitchell.

For the record, a how hard is it to be a rookie and be the #1 option. I remember like it was yesterday the struggles Hayward had when he was asked to be the #1 option, and he wasn't a rookie. Mitchell coming in as a rook and having the success he is speaks volumes as to the player he may become.

Nah, Mitchell has not hurt the team and isn't a chucker. Yes he has had bad games but so does every player. Just like Simmons who lost them game 1.

You clearly don't watch the jazz or just don't understand basketball if you think that about Mitchell.

Swap either of you point guards in when healthy a and the 76ers record is the same this year and I agree fultz isn't that good yet.
