Wait so he's against moving Gobert for a king's ransom now?
Can someone tell me what the Jazz can do that he would be on board with?

Sorry, you mean the guy that basically called the Gobert trade?Brian Windhorst
"Core Players"
21-22
Conley, Don, Royce, Bojan, Gobert, Clarkson - #5 Seed in the West
22-23 (as of now)
Don, Conley, Beverley, Beasley, Bojan, Vanderbilt, Clarkson
Beverley is an improvement on Royce.
We didn't have a player like Vanderbilt last year.
Beasley and Clarkson are similar, but we did get more offense/shooting.
Yes, we lost one of our two best players, but it's not like we traded Rudy Gobert for scrubs. We added the two best perimeters we've had in since 2018 Crowder and Ingles.
No, it's on there. I said. You’re also just missing the part where we lost an all-star and DPOY.

Speaking Wednesday on Brian Windhorst & The Hoop Collective, ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst said Mitchell essentially asked Jazz higher-ups what their plan was after trading away two key players primarily for draft picks.
I think Gobert or Mitchell being traded were the worst kept secrets in the NBA. This has been on everyone's minds and twitter feeds for weeks now, ever since we dropped out of the playoff there has been talk of one of them, or both, being traded. This is not some savant move that shocked everyone.Sorry, you mean the guy that basically called the Gobert trade?
Windy is annoying and condescending... he is also right a lot. Not just on this (his full prophesy has not been fulfilled yet)... he stuck his neck out about Harden going to Philly when everyone said it was dead... he is very good and knowledgeable.Sorry, you mean the guy that basically called the Gobert trade?
Yet with 2018 Crowder and Ingles we finished 5th in the west and got knocked out in the first round, and that was with a newly minted 2x DPOY anchoring the middle. Now we don't have even a shell of that. So we got our Crowder and Ingles back (arguably worse, but whatever, call it equal) and lost a major force. I think if we go back to that 18-19 team and sub in Vanderbilt or Kessler and we get significantly worse. That is essentially what we have right now. So not a playoff team for sure. Something else has to change or we just took a significant step backward if we stand pat, waiting for all those picks in the mid-20's to pay off in the next 5 years."Core Players"
