I personally think Royce will become one of our most important players.
Superstar, primary scorer, good defender - Donovan
Top 5 league perimeter defender, 40% 3pt shooter - Royce
Top 5 league center, rim protector, rim finisher - Rudy
Those 3 become the spine of the team and you surround them with a number of specialists like Bojan and Ingles or all purpose guys like Conley. If Conley was younger, maybe he is a core guy. Maybe he is anyway, but I see Donovan and Royce playing a decade together.

Reminds me of Bruce Bowen. Would be awesome if Royce could replicate Bowen's career with a little more bulk and rebounding.

Mike Conley isn't a core guy because of being 32 years old in October? Ingles turns 32 the same month. Donovan and Royce will probably play a decade together, but let's not ignore what Conley brings to the table. Your hopes (and my hopes) of what Royce can become is what Mike Conley calls, Tuesday afternoon.
