Stars Off the Schneid

Brantley looks great... hopefully he gets to play with the varsity team next year... I wonder if he can adjust to being more of a role player. Solid second round prospect by JZ and DL

I think he'd fit pretty nicely. He's really a big wing. He hasn't always been playing hard in the G-league, but when he does, he's capable of big defensive plays. He can do a bit of everything and can be a bit of a Paul Millsap swiss-army knife PF.

More Brantley. He had 24/5 with 2 blocks, taking Isaiah Roby to the hole a few times.

Justin Wright-Foreman with 25/5 including 5/7 from 3pt.

Stars won today by one vs Texas Legends. JWF 25, Brantley 24, Bluiett 23 on 8-9 shooting with 5-5 from 3, and NWG 15. Collinsworth was the leading rebounder with 12.

I've just watched highlights and Summer League admittedly but Brantley seems to have a good game that should translate into the NBA. He's got a good body and he understands how to use it. He can drive and he can shoot, though from what I've he's inconsistent.

His three point shooting needs to improve and he needs to quit having brain fart games like he did about 3 or 4 games ago when he committed 9 turnovers.

Between Bluiett and JWF they were 10-12 from three. 12 shots gets you 30 points. That would send the analytics into double deep defcom.

Stars beat the Clipps JVs tonight by 4. All starters in double figures Brantley 17 points 10 boards, NWG, JWF and Bluiett all over 20 points. Willie Reed played 5 minutes with 4 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot and +8 in the box score.

Olympiacos S.F.P. Pireus (Euroleague) cut 29-year old American power forward Willie Reed (211-111kg-90, college: St.Louis). In 11 Euroleague games he averaged 6.5ppg and 2.8rpg this season.
In 2012 (a year after he left the college) Reed was drafted by Springfield Armor (D-League) in second round (30th overall).
The former Saint Louis University staris in his ninth season in pro basketball.
Reed has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2015.
Among other achievements his team made it to the D-League Showcase Cup final in 2015. Reed received also USBasket.com D-League All-Defensive 1st Team award back in 2015.
He is a very experienced player. Reed has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eight different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Reed has played previously professionally in Israel (Hapoel Eilat), Spain, NBA (Chicago Bulls, Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat, LA Clippers and Brooklyn Nets), NBA G League (Salt Lake City Stars, Iowa Wolves, Stockton Kings and Grand Rapids Drive), Dominican Republic (Metros de Santiago), D-League (Springfield A.), NBA Summer League (Utah Jazz) and The Basketball Tournament (Loyalty is Love).

JWF the hero in OT with 30 points, Brantley with 25, Bluiett with 18, NWG 11 assists and Haas the leading rebounder with 11 boards in 12 minutes. Morgan fouled out and almost costs the Stars the game with a flagrant foul. Willie Reed did not dress. Isiah Canan had 31 for the Kings and Kyle Collinsworth really had some JIngles glue guy plays coming down the stretch.

Stars beat Fort Wayne tonight. Morgan had 26, JWF 20, Bluiett 17 and Oni had 8 points in 20 minutes. No Brantley, NWG, Collinsworth or Willie Reed for the Stars. Haas leading rebounder with 9 and 10 points and Pryor the leading assister with 6. Pleasant Grove's CJ Wilcox lead Fort Wayne with 25. Good win for the Stars as they were undermanned.

Stars lose to OKC by 11 tonight. Stars up 5 then down by 21 and cut it to 3 late but no mas. Morgan and Brantley with the Jazz. Reed out forever with a groin pull, Collinsworth out sick again. Oni and Paul White on minutes restriction. JWF looked horrid. NWG 19 points 9 dimes, Bluiett 17 points and 8 rebounds and Benlevi with 13. Bluiett played the 4 and 5. Oni seized up in the 4th quarter. Oni may have sneaked into double figures after an 8 point first quarter. Same two teams tomorrow.

Stars lose again by 3. NWG 21 and 8 assists, Oni 18 and 8 boards and Bluiett with 11. JWF 3-12 shooting and 0-8 from 3. Stars had the lead late and JWF, NWG and Oni make bad plays down the stretch.
