Starting PG?

Also... we can still make a full price offer to Reaves and see what happens.
I’d be down for this. If LA matches - fine. . . look elsewhere. But at least take the shot.

1/2 - Reaves, Sexton, THT, Agbaji, George, Dunn
3/4 - Markkanen, Collins, Hendricks, Fontecchio, Sensabaugh
5 - Kessler, Olynyk, Jones

Then one more of Samanic, Carey and whoever gets brought into camp.
Tony on the radio made it seem like Clarkson or THT would be the starting PG if they opt in.

Says Jazz will probably try to trade for a PG. (Not official reporting, but his opinion)

Says if both THT and Clarkson opt out and they can't get a PG, they would start Sexton (sounded like a last resort).

Dream target is Reaves, but Lakers will match anything.

Says they will prioritize size.

No mention of Dunn
I fully expect the Lakers to match anything for Reaves, but I’d also willing to call their bluff and extend the offer sheet and make them commit.

The numbers still seem murky to me though. I’m assuming THT opts in and JC opts out. Anyone know exactly how much cap space the Jazz will have available if that happens?

Mentioned Tyus Jones Markelle Fults and Jalen Suggs specifically as potential trade targets.

Said if JC opts in its likely to be in a sign and trade.

Didn't need to mention Dunn cuz he did in his article today.

Hmm, I guess I missed the first part. You talking about the Chekkets interview?

I think a Utah Jazz may be dismissing the idea of a floor general point guard.

I would find it a lot more daunting having to face a five man roster that could all dribble pass and shoot.

Don’t you guys think that would be a lot harder for defenses to manage?

I think the idea is to slide somebody in the one that has size and speed advantages for defending. And I see a few people on our roster who fit the piece already.

I think we’ll have 3-5 rotation guys who all bring the ball down. Not just the point guard, and his backup

Millard’s contract would cripple us down the road. You’re sacrificing your future to win now. Someone will trade for him and it won’t end well for them. Love the guy, but he won’t move the needle to contending as much as the Jazz need to justify the future costs.

I would not rule out DLO, even if he has **** the bed every time in the playoffs.
Nah. No interest there at all - unless it’s just a one year deal (or 2 years with a team option on the 2nd season) to use up the cap space and add another expiring contract. Think we’d be better off looking to extend Markkanen with the space if that’s our big move.
